internet explorer script error
On a win98 workstation that is on a win2000 network.
I have norton system works installed on this computer from the local cd rom. It is a multi-user system and when I log in using my user name I get an internet explorer script error from the navui.dll/navstats.htm file when I attempt to run a virus scan. There are line and char #'s that are listed and then the line "error unspecified" and "code 0" then a long path to navui.dll. I don't have this problem if I just esc past the login screen. Is there a way to fix this problem or do I have to log out every time I want to run the virus scan? |

I have already updated all the components fo NAV, when I run live update I get a message that all comonents are up to date.
this problem exsists across multiple computers and is exactly the same on all of them. The comuters all come up for a network login and log onto a windows 2000 nework. Network properties are set for client for microsoft networks and to log on to an NT domain. As long as the user is NOT in the user list for the local machine or the login has been esc then the anti virus will run. As soon as the local machine creates a user profile for that user....that user can no longer run the virus scan but can use all the other components of NSW. This holds true even if I don't logon to the network with a user on the local machine. |
