Need good anti virus

I am using AVG virus scanner right now, but the grisoft.com site no longer works, and I can't update anymore. Therefore I need a new Virus Scanner.

Can someone please suggest the best one for me to get. I prefer a Free product, but if you know of a good product that has to be purchased, can you please list that too. Thanks.

Don't panic. I suspect AVG's servers are overloading due to the recent spread of a bunch of virii. Lotsa people downloading new installations and updates. Took me several attempts yesterday to update 4 machines at work and 2 at home last nite, but I got them all done but one. Keep trying.

Thanks for letting me know Panama Red, but avg still won't update by itself. I had to go to the grisoft.com website (which took me hours to get anywhere), and manually download and install the updates. This is nuts!

Norton for free is piracy and will not be discussed here, read the FAQ, bardiang. This is a warning.
