Need Help with runtime error

I don't even know what this means, but while running VideoWave (either version 3 or 5), I get the same message when I try to produce a movie. It is:
Runtime Error! C:\Program Files\MGI\VideoWave\VideoWav.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

With heading Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library. It seems like a general problem, but I don't know how to fix it. I have tried reinstalling multiple times and that doesn't work, and I have tried updating all my drivers.

Thanks for reading, please help!

Okay I updated my spyware and virus scanner (McAffee), as well as the product patches. There is still the same Visual C++ Runtime error, I have no idea where this is coming from. The application had worked before, but upon trying it after a while it is now rendered useless with this. Thanks so far, but I still need help!
