logitech access keyboard peoblem

On my keyboard my F-keys have 2 functions. When "f-lock" if on they are F-keys but when its off they do special functions. Heres the problem, every time I restart the computer the F-lock if off, I want it on becaus the special features are useless. The mail ones arnt compatible with pegassus, the WMP one, well, its faster to use the mouse and the my computer, my picture, etc...I already have shortcuts and its faster to use those. How do I get the F-key to stay on? I installed the driver but all that lets me do I change the special functions.

Logitech Elite or Navigator keyboard
I have the access keyboard, im not about to D/L a registry fix from a strange thats not meant for my keyboard.

EDIT: If I set them all to transparent pass-through then they will have their normal function even with f-lock off but I cant do combinations like alt-f4. I cant change f5 to f8 either. Looking on the web I found that everyone hates this.
