.net framework?

I tried to update my .net frame work and got the error....."no registered JIT debugger available" or something to that effect. everything seems to be working fine it is just more irritating than anything else knowing there is something missing.
Any gurus out there with a pearl of wisdom for me?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the .NET framework? I assume you are trying to update it through Windows Update, right?

I recommend that you not install the .NET framework at all unless you have applications that require it.

Oi!

Oi! I do tech support for a software that uses this... this "software" *cry*. What you'll have to do uninstall it and reinstall it, but the problem is when you uninstall it, it often leaves a slew of reg entries on your computer that prevents it from being reinstalled, and to get it installed back on there you have take these little buggers out which is too much work. However, I would agree with glc and definatly not install it unless you have to because it is a big pain in the... I'll just say neck.
