is there a way to convert .mp3 to mobile phone ringtone? do anyone know any software that can convert mp3 to ringtone

I *believe* ringtones are MIDIs, an electronic form of music. I haven't found a decent way to convert real files to a electronic synthesised format.

force_flow is right. An MP3 is essentially a digitized waveform. Rigntones are simply instructions telling the sound generator which tones to play (like playing an electronic keyboard). While you can change the latter into the former (just record the tones after they are produced), going the other way is impossible as far as I know.

Not entirely true. Many cell phones use wav files to generate ring tones. Some of the new Sony/Ericsson, Sanyo, and Samsung phones are so enabled.
