Did you update D2 to the version the crack is for?
Download the updates @blizzard and get the no-cd for that version.
Any crack from megagames, should work properly.

As Dave said, we are not allowed to help you here. While I would like to think that everyone buys the game and owns a legit copy, that just isn't the case. The problem is that even if you are a rightful owner, others (who are not) may read this in order to find a way to play their pirated game.

No CD patches are okay to be discussed here, but talking about sharing your CD crosses the line.

I was/am under the assumption that a no-CD patch get's you past certain security measures so a copied CD will work in the place of a authentic CD. What am I missing?

Not exactly - a no-CD patch allows you to copy the CD to your hard drive and run the game without putting the CD in the drive.

actually, it allows you to play the installed game without having to have the CD in the drive, not so much the CD copied to the drive. A cracked game will allow you to install it and play it with a copied disk, but is not the same as a 'No CD patch'.

So...why don't the game manufacturers make such patches available to those of us who have the hard drive space and have cluttered desks which make finding games quite difficult?

Dave.
