Unwanted Toolbar
Something, somewhere, somehow has installed a toolbar called "Tray32" in internet explorer. I do not want it there and cannot get rid of this pesky thing. I goto view/toolbars and uncheck it but it keeps coming back.
How can I remove this thing completely? I have ran ad-aware and it didnt get it. |

Have you tried running a virus scanner?

I ran a free online one... AVG I think it was and it did find something in one of the games that came with windows/this computer (2 files infected) but i thought it had corrected it. I didnt run it again to make sure it was fixed though.

Well, I did as suggested: downloaded and ran AVG Anti-Virus and Spybot S&D...
I had a virus called "Nachi.b" which it got rid of and Spybot dug up all kinds of crap... It too was removed. The toolbar was still there though. I did manage to get rid of the thing by doing a search of the registry and deleting the matching entry. Thanks all! |
