couple of traceroute questions

First, why are there 3 different time listings? My command prompt window isint big enough so that I can see the whole IP, changing the font size or going in full screen mode doesnt fix it. The window wont streach enough either. Can I traceroute anyone? And how different is it from the ping command?

the way tracerout works is it sends 3 packets to the host computer and will list each hop it uses to get there and the time it takes to ger a response from each one, therefore the 3 times on each hop.

it is differant from ping sence ping does not show you each hop it takes to get there.

the size of your window may be a setting you have or your resulation, I run it on several systems to try to duplicate your problem and could not.

Try PATHPING - it's like PING and TRACERT combined, and analyses the route for longer.
