Ie 6.0

I gotta question about internet explorer six-point-oh, it saves everything i've typped into the search boxes and username prompts and so on and so forth. How do I clear those? They've become a nuisance and quite large.

thanks,

Try clearing the Temporary Internet Files. I think that should do it.

Tools > Internet Options > General > Temporary Internet Files > Delete Files

I think you need to delete AutoComplete info:
Tools >Internet Options > Content > AutoComplete > Clear Forms & Clear Passwords.

You can also tell IE not to save form info any more there.

A. believe me I tried the clear temporary internet files, but thank you grandly for your input, it may have helpped someone besides myself.

B. The autocomplete thing worked! I really really appriciate it, I mean really, dumb me I looked over the option two or three times and missed it completely!

thanks,

You can also just put your mouse over the top thing in the list and hold ctrl + delete (not backspace).

Go to IE Menu - Help - Contents and Index - Index and type AutoComplete feature.

It is all there.

To delete Autocomplete entries from the Address bar list

The AutoComplete feature saves previous entries you've made for Web addresses, forms, and passwords. To delete entries from the Address bar, you must clear your History folder. You cannot clear individual entries from the list of saved entries.

1. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
2. Click the General tab.
3. Under History, click Clear History.
Notes

When typing information in Web forms, and typing passwords, you can remove an item from the list of suggestions by clicking the item and then pressing the DELETE key.
For Help on an item, click at the top of the dialog box, and then click the item.
