Baldur's Gate Install
Me and a few friends attempted setting up an offline LAN network to play Baldur's Gate and one of my friends computers's cd drive is not working properly. So, being connected to eachother, I tried installing it from my computer onto his hard drive. That of course failed (I'm not good at networking) and it caused my installation of the game to corrupt. Attempted to uninstall the game gives me messages not able to find something involved in the uninstallation process because it refers to the E: drive which is the drive letter we set my friends hard drive up with (which poses a problem when he's not 'online'. I'm thinking the problem lies in the registry but when I start thinking with computers, problems happen. So any ideas from here on what I should do? I play Baldur's Gate religiously and now I am cut off...help!

Reinstall it, if it works, fine, if not, then try an uninstall and reinstall.

It's not letting me uninstall is the problem. My computer thinks my copy of BG is now installed on the network drive and doesn't recognize the 1.99gb of Baldur's Gate information located in my C: drive. Even running the program from within its directory doesn't solve that problem.

No, I mean try reinstalling it without an uninstall first, and note carefully where it wants to install it, correct it as necessary.

I think I see what you're getting at. I'll give that a try. Thanks
