Baffled!

OK, so here's the deal. Just bought my girlfriend The Sims Double Deluxe. We get home and pop in the CD to her computer. The autoplay does it's thing and I press install. Now rather than begin installation the dialog box appears as if I'm downloading something from the internet, the one that has open, save, cancel, and more info. Save is greyed out and pressing open does nothing. Weird for me but I say whatever and open the CD through My Computer and run setup. But when I get to the 3rd installation cd it does the same thing. This time I can't run setup from CD. Anyone encounter this?!? HELP YOU COMPUTER GODS, PLEASE DON'T FORSAKE ME!

Have to ask->What do the instructions say? Do they mention downloading to get the newest version?

My wife bought that game,and you have to follow the instructions to a t.I think during the install you have to remove one cd from the drive and insert cd disc1 in to read something and if I remember correctly you may have to do this at least twice maybe 3 times throughout the install process.If you dont have your instructions still I can look hers up and post them for you.
