I've been using iTunes for awhile and really enjoy it. You can rip, as well as conver audio files into a variety of formats. You may want to check it out.

Google for a program called "Advanced WMA Workshop". It's not free, but it will convert wma files to mp3. (BTW, iTunes won't work with WMA files.)

Thanks, I'll have to remember that. Guess I should have played around with a WMA (which I never really use) before making the suggestion .

Same here. I don't really deal with any WMA files, but I do have one, so I tried to convince iTunes to open it - not happening.

You can always use WMP9 to burn your WMA files to a CD-RW and then rip that CD-RW with CDex or iTunes. It's a round-a-bout way, but it will work.

Nero won't convert WMA to mp3 directly. I'm not even sure Nero can handle WMA files - although I've never tried.

If I recall correctly, there is a plugin for Nero that you can download so it will be able to handle WMA files.

dBpowerAMP Music Converter has codec's available to convert just about anything to anything, including from WMP (WMA) and Real Player (RA/RAM) formats. These two are to be found in "Codec Central" - link near the bottom of the page.

It's free, and can bet set up to convert a file or group of files on a right-click.
