dvd playback software?
is there any software around that will allow you to playback any region of dvd (ie USA, UK, etc..) on your DVD drive? the only way i no how to is by changing its properties to a different region but you only get about 5 goes at this...
any help... |

That's a limitation of the DVD-ROM drive itself, not the playback software.
You have 3 possibilities to solve the problem: 1. Download AnyDVD and install it. It will take care of the region code, the DVD will appear RegionFree. AnyDVD will permanently run in background. It's a 21 day free trial. 2. Download a RPC-1 firmware for your DVD drive and flash it. That way you remove the region code from your DVD drive. 3. After changing the region code 5 times re-flash the firmware, then you get another 5 times. Dunno how often you can re-flash. I did it quite often and my drive isn't dead, but since I flashed a region free firmware I don't reflash it anymore. RJ

i d/l anydvd and i looked at the settings and it looks like it can support the new RCE dvd's! is this true?
