word locking up

I am having a lot of problems with my computer all of a sudden. First word is really slow and I can only do a few things before it wigs out on me or tells me I have run out of memory. Now, my computer will barely even print anything except garbage. Help this is frustrating. I have tried reinstalling and deleted the normal.dot file and tried ending task on all programs except systray and explorer and it still does it. I can use the internet and everything but I can not print no more.

Try to re-install Word and update your printer drivers. The website for your printer will have the drivers. If none of these ideas work, then I'm not sure what to tell you. Good luck.

Have you done the usual (really necessary these days) virus and spyware scans? How much stuff (both necessary and junk) is running in your startup and in the background?
