Spyware Prob

My g/f has been having prob with spyware. Whenever she is connected to the net popups will appear advertising all sorts of crap. The popup is not in the form of a webbrowser but looks like a windows dialogue box (With the Ok and Cancel buttons). I downloaded Bazooka Spyware Scanner and it turned up nothing.

Is there another free Spyware Scanner that is better. Or do you have any idea what else it could be. Thanks

Here is a pic of the popup. It appears as though it is coming through a program but I can't find out what it is. She isn't running anything that I can see.

Get Spy-Bot and Adaware from the links above and run them. Also might be worth running an anti-virus... but I am parinoid so I always think that

Windows Messanger being Start>Run>msconfig>Services>Messanger
or the better way of Administrative Tools>Services... Cleaner interface
Correct? Just making sure there isnt another messanger

Check out my post in this thread. By the way, the VBS scripts are safe. It's how I got rid of it on my PCs.

Stop and disable the "Messenger" service.

Control panel, administrative tools, services.
