background programs
I know this has been posted for me and I have done a search but I seem to be having trouble finding the way to turn off background programs from booting on startup.
Any links or advice? Thanks |

Start > Run : msconfig
Go to system start tab and uncheck the programs you don't want to start automatically. Also check the folder Start > Programs > Startup and remove the shortcuts to the programs you don't want to start automatically. RJ

I know you can uncheck to not start the process, but how would you permanently remove the entry? I would imagine you would have to edit the registry, but I don't know what key controls the processes starting at startup? Any ideas?
