Completely removing Kazaa and some questionable files
A friend of mine, without my knowledge, used Kazaa Lite on my other computer to download some very questionable content of which I won't describe. I think some of it may be illegal. I don't think it was intentional as many things are mislabled on that network. I have not used Kazaa Lite for ages and forgot it was even on that computer. My question is, how can I completely removed Kazaa Lite and especially those files so they are completely unretreivable? I know Spybot has the "shredder" that claims to do this. Does it really work though? Are there any other things I should remove so there is no trace what so ever of anything that could possibly be illegal? I don't want to go through the hassle of reformatting and reinstalling Windows.

What is this shredder option in Spybot?

When you click on tools it opens up the "secure shredder".

Yes, I think it enough, uninstall Kazaa Lite, and shred the files.
SpyBot's shredder writes random data over the files several times, making it impossible to recover them later. |

just set it to rewrite over it like 30 times, it wont ever bother you again.

IIRC, 7 times are enough to make it impossible to recover the file.
