hibernation+powerbutton = bad news! help please!

ok ... so... ive managed to outdo myself this time... I was playing around with numous XP settings and decided to try out hibernation ... so i enable it, and go to hibernate the computer...

everything is good, except now in hibernation, it decides to power off the monitor .. so i try wiggling the mouse... nothing

ok, fine... a reboot should bring me back to the OS... wrong!

on reboot i get the error "Error loading operating system"

can somone *please* help me get my computer back to the way it was (end the hibernation) ...

thanks in advance...

Sounds like it is time to use the repair installation option in Windows XP.

When the computer hibernates it is supposed to power off completely. Just like when you shut it down normally. The only thing it does different is it saves whatever is in the RAM to the hard drive so when you turn it on it will be like it was never turned off. Anything that was open will still be open etc.
