Disappearing Wallpaper

W2kPro, home user, always signed on as administrator.
Been using it for ages and satisfied. Minor aggravation.



Select a Wallpaper and open an explorer window full screen. Finish the assigned task and close the window, Wallpaper has reverted to a default blue screen.

Select a Wallpaper and perform minor maintaince chores. Shut Windows down, next day, onreboot is the same. A default blue background.

This is a recent occurance with no new programs added and no virus. Obviously some change has happened, just not certain where to look.

Browsed 'gpedit' and may have overlooked something there.

What do you suppose?
