Is there any software besides winrar that can properly extract .rar files? I have winrar and winzip, but...
1) winrar has a 40 day trial period and ... 2) I cant find a way to extract .rar files using winzip if anyone has anything that can help me, please tell me thanks, Bryan Last edited by BryanMan; 04-10-2004 at 11:51 PM. |

Not sure about extracting using WinZip, but I did find 7-Zip which is free, and can handle a variety of formats. I have not used it so I can't give you any feed back on it, but maybe give the reviews a quick scan.

The only ones I know of are Winrar and Winace - and Winace isn't compatible with the latest rar algorithms. Looks like 7-Zip is worth a try.

I've tried 7-Zip, it supports the latest RAR format, has a nice file manager, and integrates with Windows shell.
