How to make ISO's with nero.
I'm useing Nero express 5.5.something.somethingelse, it has the latest updates. I'm trying to backup my cd's to my hdd. I click on copy entire disk, set the destination drive to virtual. When it asks me to were I want to save the image to it only gives me the option of saving as ".nrg" I want to save as ".iso" incase I have to burn the disk on a computer that doesn't have nero. Can anyone help me?

it might serve you better to just make copies of the cd's and put the orignals in a safe place, and just use the copies, this is leagle to do, and nero will make good copies for you, and when the copies get lost or damaged, just make another one.
olso this will save value disk space on your hard drive for impotant things |

Did a little research and all I can find is that you can use Nero to burn an .iso image to cd but not CREATE an .iso. Here's a faq from the Nero site that addresses your discovery of the .nrg file. Looks like the .nrg will work just fine tho for what you want to do.
