Problems with Roxio Easy CD Creator in XP

Suddenly I am unable to open the application - nothing happens.
I have uninstalled and re installed to no avail.
Also I get a 'RUN32DLL.EXE' shutdown message which I suspect is associated with this problem.
I have also tried to install the latest software upsdate, but am advised that it won't install.
Please, can anyone help?

Do you also have Nero installed? If so, install either Direct CD or In CD, but not both.

But in general, Roxio 5 needs a lot of updates and customizing in the install. Go to the Roxio site to get the info.

No, I don't have Nero installed, and when I download the latest update for ECDC it will not update the programme for some reason.

I don't know if it's the same problem I had but a while ago when I installed Roxio 5 updates would say "No Roxio products detected update canot continue" or something real close to it and roxio had fixes for stuff like this! Are you sure you checked there web site closely
