.x1 file extension
i just downloaded a file with 7 things in it, each labeled .x1 through .x7 Any idea on what kind of file this is and what program i might use to open it?

Hello and welcome to PC Mech.
It looks like a multi-volume archive to me. I don't know what archive format, though. Try archive programs like WinAce and 7-zip, they can handle many file types and should be able to decompress your files. RJ
