Pissed Driver issue?

ok, i just built my pc, maybe 2 weeks ago, and ever since then I couldnt play battlefield 1942 online and I cant do campaign mode, the only thing I can do is instant action and create LAN games. What happens is that when i try to join an online game as soon as it gets like halfway through loading my whole comp restarts, same thing happens with campaign mode. Ive installed the latest drivers for my vid card and installed the online update for BF 1942 and it still restarts. Any answers to my questions would be greatly appreciated, thanx

My system:
K8T Neo Mobo
AMD 3000+
512 Ifineon PC3200 Ram(single stick)
40 gig Maxtor 7200 rpm hdd
Radeon 128 mb 9800 pro vid card
plus cd drives, floppy drive, ethernet card and USB 2.0 backplate(2 connectors)

Do you have all applicable motherboard/chipset drivers installed? This should be done before installing any individual device drivers. You should also reinstall DirectX after any video or sound driver install/update.

I'd start with the Via Hyperions.
