Programs trys to connect to the internet?
I recently installed InterVideo WinDVD onto my PC (running Windows 98 SE).
When I run the program to play a DVD the dial up networking box comes up and trys to connect me to the internet. Why is it doing this, and can I fix it somehow? Its really annoying as I can't see why I'd need to be connected to the Internet to use DVD playback. |

it might be trying to update itself, see if you can find an update feature on it.

Does't appear to have any update facility and I checked to see if it wanted me to register online too.

Check your system with Adaware and Spybot. It may be something else trying to connect.
