Partition magic 8.0

Good morning folks...I just loaded PM 8.0,I installed it according to the onscreen instuctions, when I go to launch it I get an error message {error1874--configuration not found}...
I also cant find a way to uninstall,so I can reinstall...What did I do wrong...BTW I'm using win 2k pro..OH..I did not create rescue disks, could that have something to do with it not launching????TIA

Not creating rescue disks should have no effect on launching the program. Sounds like the install is corrupted. Did you have your Anti virus running during the install, perchance? Good idea to ALWAYS turn off AV when installing programs. Try reinstalling again over the old and then see if you can uninstall all of it. Then I'd do a search for anything listed as Partition Magic or Powerquest (Unless it's a Symantec version). Delete all those entries, reboot, turn off AV and reinstall.

Hey, Gary, glad to help. Assuming you're using XP, here's a little tip on partitioning.
