go in WMP and in the downloads section under tools there is a listing called plug-ins. Click on that and it will bring you to a webpage where you can download WMP plug-ins, some of them convert WMA to mp3

I've had good luck with cdex:
Cdex is a is utility which can extract Digital Audio (DA) tracks from an Audio CD into files on the hard disk. The extracted audio tracks can be stored as WAV or MP3 (MPEG-1 Audio Layer-3) files. CDex is using the Adaptec's ASPI library Manager to communicate with the CD-ROM device, So make sure that you have installed the proper ASPI drivers (see also the HELP file and the FAQ page!) The latest version of CDex can be downloaded from http://cdexos.sourceforge.net or http://www.cdex.n3.net |

i have alot of converting to do, so i need something fast. i dont really mind if its free or not, i just need something. in the past when trying to conver formats ive gotten error messages saying that the content is protected and it cancels the whole conversion prosses for the rest of my files as well. i think that was with dbpower amp. i guess what im looking for hasnt been made yet? idk. hope i can find something!
