is there a way to somehow cut a mpeg file in half?

You can also use this tool
Although the website is only in German, the tool itself has also an english GUI. Just go to that website and click download, and then the "Laden" (load) below "Download 1" When you started MPEG2Cut, go to "Sprachen" and select English. RJ

is there another program that is able to splice .avi files? i tried using dvtool but it doesnt support .avi files.

Remember, AVI is only a container. You will additionally need the codec that your footage uses. DV-Tool does support AVI. . but probably only DV AVI. RJ |
