Mail Software

I have been seeing a lot of content about outlook and other software. Im wondering what it does, i have had it in the past and didnt really know how to use it. From what i gather does it like check your email account or something, if not what does it do?

Hnar,

Yes, Outlook is used to check your email account(s). People also use the other functions such as Calendar, Contacts, etc. The Calendar can be set to remind you of important dates, meetings, etc. and the Contacts can be used to store personal information about others such as addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc., etc.

HTH,

I'm not 100% sure about Charter, but would imagine that they would be able to give you the information needed in order to set up Outlook to check your Charter email. The best thing to do would be to contact their technical support department...unless someone else roaming the PCMech boards has Charter as their ISP?

IIRC, Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer so that should already be on your system. There are some limited features with Outlook Express but the basics are there.
