microsoft xp being weird.... HELP!

i tried to apply a screensaver, i think is called hqtranquil or something... its the one that comes with the 9800pro software...

now i put it on, and then hit preview, and for some reason my computers resolution goes into something very tiny, 400x600 maybe? not sure...

after it does that, my computer just restarts, and it says "microsoft has recovered from a serious error"

now i cant go into any programs that werent installed on the os (i.e. i can go into paint etc.)

what the heck happened?

avast! picked up a couple viruses, and said i would need to restart to get rid of them, so i clicked ok, but it didn't restart... UGHHH... im running a thourough scan right now...

the message is that whatever program i click is not a valid win32 program...

Yes, you picked up a virus. Try doing a system restore back to a date before the problem - followed by an immediate antivirus update and scan.
