Angry Fire Messenger pop-ups!

How does my girlfriend stop messenger pop-ups appearing on her WINDOWS 2000 PRO laptop. They are driving her crazy!

Messenger must be running on her laptop but we can't find it.

TIA.

Send a message via MSN to MaxRat
if all that fails type msconfig in the run box (in the start box)

goto startup items and uncheck it....it won't start up on next boot.....

easiest way is to see if the icon is down by the clock (lower right) if it is click open... click options or preferrences and then uncheck "start when windows starts"

but when you open outlook express msn will autostart again
