hard disc data recovery

I have some data that I have already sent through the recycle bin on one of my hard drives, and want to recover it. I have tried the "demo" versions of data retrieval and the couple i used found what i wanted but, want to charge $100.00+ to install the full version and retrieve the data. I want to go and buy a physical copy of this software from a local retailer. I was looking at a product called Search and Recover. Is it any good? It (demo) found what I wanted in the trial version plus, It's cheap. By the way, the files I want are multi track recording projects (SONAR) If that makes a diffrence in the quality of the software.

Thanks,

Here is some freeware that could do the job for you: http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/UK/welcome.htm

Here is an article on the topic of deleted file retrieval: http://ricserv.servebeer.com/lostfiles.php

Hope that helps
