I just went on Mirc's site and they say they charge 20$ for the program and that the DL is a 30 day evaluation! Whats is that all about?

You can continue to use the program after the 30 days. I've used single installations for months, until I update to the next one. You will get a little reminder to register/pay when you start it up, nothing too bad/annoying, and the program is still fully functional.

There are tons of IRC clients. Just try them out. I prefer mIRC because its the first one I used and I just got used to it.
Here are a couple of lists of different clients that may interest you: http://directory.google.com/Top/Comp...ents/Chat/IRC/ http://sourceforge.net/softwaremap/t...hp?form_cat=24 |

Just hold down ctrl and click on the guy's nose while you're waiting for the "continue" button to activate.
