I have the 5.5.10.54 version. When I get ready to create a new disc, there is a large sliding window on the right side of the "New Compilation" box. There, I normally choose 'DVD-Video.' If I slide that up and down, there are several choices for 'DVD-ROM,' including ISO, boot, UDF, and UDF/ISO.
Is this where I can actually burn a DVD as ROM instead of +R or -R to make it more compatible with all types of players? Which of those would I choose to burn a VIDEO_TS folder onto to create a video disc that has a bitsetting of ROM? Thanks!

Hi,
no that's not it. Just use the DVD-Video template. The bitsetting is just a checkbox, and I believe it's on the "burn" tab on the lower right. It is "Burn disc as DVD-ROM" or something like that. I don't know if 5.5.10.54 has that capability, though. Anyway, look on the "burn" tab on the lower right, the checkbox should be there. RJ

I thought I read that anything after 5.5.9.xx had the capability, but I'm not getting the checkbox where they show it in the docs. I tried DVDBitsetter, but it wouldn't work with my drive (mebbe that's why Nero doesn't give the checkbox option?) because it wasn't supported.
Alls well, tho, as I came across the Lite-On bitsetting utility last night, and it works perfectly. Thx. |

If I remember correctly Nero will display the checkbox, but if your drive doesn't support it, it's greyed out.
Anyway, if you found a tool that works now, then you can enjoy the more compatible DVD's ![]() RJ |
