DVDs cause Media Player to crash
Media Player 9 crashes every time I try to play a DVD (XP home). Every other type of media works fine. I just downloaded Media Player 10 beta and it does the same thing. I have all windows updates.
Any suggestions? |

Get PowerDVD. It's worth the money.
If that's too much for you, try the WMP codec pack at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...cdownload.aspx You could also google for a free dvd player, there are a couple, but they don't come with an mpeg2 decoder. What's wrong with the software that came with your dvd player? |

I have a couple of other DVD players that work. But I also have a Matrox video editing board that has a TV out capability for Media Player--that's why I would like to get Media Player working as it should.
