Welcome to PC Mech snooker. Your question has been asked several times before. You might want to do a 'search' of the forums using 'registry cleaner'. You'll get plenty of answers.

I just used Registry First Aid today. You can download a free copy which is limited to cleaning only about 10 items each round. But I ran it about 25 times and it cleaned everything out. I saved a lot of time by stopping the program when it had found about 20 items each round. Thereby I didn't have to wait like 10 minutes each time for it to finish checking everything.

Registry First Aid was supposed to have won a number of awards for their product. I didn't notice any difference in computer performance after it cleaned everything out. It didn't seem to damage anything but it also didn't seem to help my problems either like my Windows dialup networking box popping up every time at the end of bootup.

Harry, that problem is easily fixed. Just find out what startup program wants Internet access. The easiest way to fix it is actually set your Internet Options to never dial a connection and connect manually with a shortcut when you do want to connect. A third party registry cleaner isn't going to take care of this because it's not a registry problem causing it.
