Replacing Laptop hinges
Hello:
I was asked by someone if it is possible to replace laptop hinges? I don't have much information other than: It's a Compaq and they should've gotten a better warranty! I know laptops are parted out on E-bey (an online chop-shop!). If this issue is model specific (some models can be fixed, but other models can not) I will come up with more pertinant information. I would start off by looking at www.hp.com and see if they have the parts.

funny, i just broke the hinge of my dell, (latitude c600) the metal bits just snaped off!thouhg i'm guessing it may be easier (checper?) to get a second hand broken lappy of the same modela nd canbailse the parts
