LCD Monitor Hissing noise on Vaio Z1
Hello Everyone,

Since my last post, I've been able to get this laptop up and running. I was able to install a 60gb 7200 RPM hard drive without much trouble.

Now here's another issue...

When the monitor is on the brighest setting, the middle base of the lcd monitor (hinged area) emmits a high pitched static noise that diminishes when the brightness is turned down. The noise never disappears completely. When I apply pressure to the hinge, the hissing is reduced, but is still there. What can this be caused by? There is absolutely no irregularity with the display.
