I am not sure if this is the right spot to post this, I hope it is.
I own an older Dell Inspiron 7000 Laptop but I never used it to go online it was always used for spread sheets and such. I installed a PC card in it that I got from a friend and windows ME seems to find it and all drivers were the most current from 3COM. In the device manager its detected and is operating normaly however everytime I try to connect online it dials then 5 seconds later it disconnects. I have checked all the settings in the Internet Options but I can't seem to get it to work. Can anyone here help me out with this problem please? The modem is a 3com 3CP003056 PC card that has a thingy that you pull out where the telephone line attaches. It is a V90 56k Modem. The 3com website was not helpful at all.

XP should have a native driver for that card - if it doesn't work, I'd say that there is a problem with the card itself.
