Display won't turn off
I have a Dell Inspiron 6000. I have it set to "No Action" when I close the display lid so that I can continue downloading and running AIM and iTunes without burning out the monitor. It used to turn off the display but remain running when I shut the lid. However, today it stopped turning off the display. I haven't changed any options, and I checked to make sure that they are still set to "No Action". Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to fix it?

There should be a little nub that actuates a switch when the lid is closed to turn off the monitor. The nub could be broken or the switch jammed or bad. This would be someplace along the hinge line.
