some keys on laptop keyboard not functioning
hi guys,
i have problem with laptop (ibm thinkpad 600), keys a,s,d,f,j,k,l,; are not functioning. at first it wont boot (registry problem), it just dericted me to the command prompt, so, i decided to re install the OS (win98) but then when i wa about to reinstall it, those keys are not functioning anymore. i tried to clean the keys, detached it but still it dont work... i just wonder whats the problem hence all other keys are still functioning except those i've mentioned. any help please.... |

try using a external usb keyboard and see if you can access your bios or boot menu.

i had tried using external ps2 keyboard but its not working..

Interesting that it's just your middle row... that would suggest to me some hardware issue rather than software

its working now! i dont know what's the problem. i just open the laptop and was able to see the inside of it, i only pressed the keyboard connector and then returned all the screws and turn it on, and its functioning again!
