Windows 98
My Dell Latitude Cpi crashed and I had to replace the hard drive. The drive checks out but when I loaded Windows 98 the print is strange. The best way I can describe it is the print is not clear and some letters almost appear to be bold. I have checked the Device Manager and the video is “running properly”. I have looked every where for a check or lack of a check in a box to correct the problem.
Any ideas??

Have you installed the video driver and set the resolution to the native resolution of the laptop's LCD?

Thanks a lot - I should have thought of that. I put in a driver I downloaded and the problem is solved.
