The specs seem ok to me, but what's weird is getting XP Pro for that price on a 20GB HDD. The realistic usable space, all patched, is closer to the 10GB free space. Regarding the manufacturer, I couldnt see elonex with a product model cy27. CY27 seems to be an offering from something called ARM computer, but I could be wrong.
IMHO it depends on how flexible you are with your budget, and how adventurous you are . For my money, I would rather spend more for a quality laptop than find that the £200 was a waste to begin with. For example, the lowest Dell offering is the Inspiron 1300 for £398, seems extremely attractive to me. I just like to know exactly what I'm getting for my money. Laptops are extremely proprietary, those with weird components in them from companies that wont support them are going to get obsolete much quicker.
