Question about Graphics

I just wanted to ask about the GMA 900, that comes in alot of ...laptops. Even the XPS m140, from dell.

I always thought that the XPS was a game playing machine...but this has GMA 900 graphics,,,whats up with that?

Also I was wondering , is this GMA 900 obsolete, with any games... will it not even run games like...Zoo Tycoon 1 & 2...Age of Empires.... etc....
???

The GMA 900 is Intel's current integrated graphics processor -- the new version of Intel Extreme Graphics. It's marginal for current games, but older games should run fine. The XPS lineup use to be focused on gaming, but now it's simply Dell's "premium" lineup. the top-end Dimension XPS 600 and Inspiron XPS M170 are still designed for gaming, but the other desktops and laptops in the line are not, and the main draw to them are multimedia functions and improved support.
