graphics issue on tablet pc
my boss just bought me a averatec c3500 to test out for clients who have been asking about this brand. i seem to be having this issue with teh graphics on it, and i can't figure out what it is. on the start bar, and sometimes other random things, there will be little lines or funny gradients going through the image. i can post a screenshot, but i think its graphics related, so i don't think you would see what i see. its hard to describe it, but it looks as if there are purple and green pinstripes, or green gradients going through some of the buttons or bars.
short of sending it back, is there anything i can do craig

I would just send it back. It sounds like you do have defective hardware, and if you start tinkering with it you could void the warranty.

Averatec tend to use flimsy materials, maybe to keep cost down, weight down, I have no idea. But one of the first things to go is the screen. If you start seeing lines going through the screen, it's most likely because the display panel bent or was pressed too far.
