Help, Best Laptop for 500-700$
I am looking for a low end laptop for surfing the web, data processing, etc....nothing heavy at all. It has to be wireless with a cdrw and perhaps a dvdrw. I have always been very fond of Toshiba experiencing nothing but greatness from them. Its been a while since I have personally bought one and I know things have changed so please post your opinion.
For basic functions it doesnt make alot of sense to me to spend 700$ for a little bit faster cpu and 256mb more ram...what do you think? Best B_y has a toshiba in my area for 500$ after rebates and thats what I am thinking. I currently have a co. issued dell d610 but want my own laptop. Thanks |

Not a lot of laptops under $700, but you can check out the Acer's. They're probably the best bang for your buck. I think there's some 15.4" screens available for about that price range.

I understand but I meant after the 100-250$ rebates that are advertised.
