Acer Ferrari 4002 WLMi x700mobility upgrade

can i upgrade the graphics card in my laptop. Its a pci-ex x700 mobility, could i upgrade it?

If it's a removable module, I suppose you could. Acer should be able to tell you. I'd assume it would void your warranty unless you have them do it.

well since i already voided my warrenty a week after getting it by installing a ram upgrade that doesnt matter. But how do you know if it is a removable graphics module?

Adding ram should not void the warranty. As for the card, go to Acers web site and see if there is any option for different video cards for your exact model. Most laptops that do have removable video cards have only a couple options that will work.

Sorry, you won't be able to upgrade it. If you do change it out, all you can do is replace it with the same thing. Even with the modular PCI-E cards, normal judgement would say it can be interchangeable, but no- sockets are different and may not even fit properly into the chassis. With the damage that you'll do, wasted time and money, you might as well buy a new one. Or at least a barebone and swap out the components from your old one.
