Pocket PC doesn't sync all the time
My wife has a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop using WinXP SvcPack2. She is using a HP Jornada 525 Pocket PC. The problem starts that the pocket PC uses a serial connection and the laptop only has USB connections. So I bought a serial to USB connector to help solve the connection problem. But when she tries to sync the Pocket PC with the laptop it doesn't always work. In fact the last time she got the two to sync was back on December 4th. I have MS ActiveSync 3.8 loaded on the laptop. Since the Pocket PC uses a serial connection, do I need to use an earlier version af MS ActiveSync to make this work?

Went online to Windows Mobile and downloaded MS ActiveSync 4.1. This did the trick. Pocket PC is synched.
