Keyboard Problems

My friend has an HP Pavilion N5190 laptop with Windows ME on it. The letter "C" is not working properly. Sometimes when it is pressed nothing is displayed and at other times the letter "C" continuously repeats itself without touching it. He stated that nothing was spilt on the keyboard. I blew off the keyboard with a can of compressed air for computers and this didn't help. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Are you able to remove the keyboard? If so, can you also remove the ribbon that's connected from the keyboard to the motherboard and then reinsert it?
